Gray Lift had its beginning in 1957 when John Waugh and Will Gray formed the company. It was started with a total of nine employees and a single location in Fresno.
Our primary supplier was the industrial truck division of Clark Equipment Company. Our dealership sold and serviced equipment throughout nine counties in Central California.
Our headquarters in Fresno was built in 1960 and has expanded since then to approximately four times its original size.
Since our beginning, we have added branches in Bakersfield and Santa Maria, California and formed two operating divisions, Warehouse Systems and Construction Rental Services. The product lines we represent have expanded more than ten fold since our inception and enable us to serve our customers with a wide variety of material handling and storage products. These include Clark, Doosan, Komatsu, and Sellick Forklifts, industrial batteries, rental fence, trash compactors and balers, storage rack, dock equipment, industrial doors and a catalog of many more related products.
We presently operate throughout ten counties of Central California with approximately 110 full time employees.
We have a strong belief and history of providing outstanding Customer Service. Now in its second generation of ownership, Gray Lift has progressively expanded to serve its customers. Our growth and success is the result of an outstanding group of dedicated employees. Our Motto is "SERVICE IS EVERYTHING" and we expect all members of the Gray Lift team to make it a priority.
