The key to maintaining a low-cost, long life forklift fleet is proper planned maintenance care as part of a systematic program. Our maintenance programs make it easy for you to ensure service is performed when needed while meeting your budget expectations. We have tailored the following maintenance programs specifically to meet the needs of forklift fleets of all sizes and budgets.
More than an oil change and lubrication, our Planned Maintenance Program is a scheduled 58-point inspection and adjustment for all the operating systems on your lift truck. Customers receive a copy of the inspection and adjustment checklist for all the operating systems on their lift trucks along with recommendations for additional repairs if needed. Our Planned Maintenance meets all O.S.H.A. and A.N.S.I. requirements for lift truck maintenance. Service history reporting is available for Planned Maintenance customers.
Fleet Maintenance is available for those customers with five or more lift trucks. In recognition of the economics of carrying multiple lift trucks under a single agreement, all work is performed at a special hourly rate and a quarterly report is provided recapping parts and labor costs, operating hours and costs per hour.
A Contract Maintenance service technician can be provided on a "fixed price" per period basis. Contract Maintenance will depend on an application survey and analysis of your maintenance needs. Once established, the agreement covers all labor from planned maintenance to routine and emergency service for the designated term. Replacement equipment is available in the unlikely event a repair cannot be made immediately.
Under a Guaranteed Maintenance Agreement, Gray Lift provides all normal maintenance for a fixed monthly fee per forklift. This normally includes planned maintenance, routine repairs, and overhauls but excludes repairs due to damage or abuse. We recommend the Guaranteed Maintenance Program for the customer that desires to move forklift maintenance from the "variable" expense column to the "fixed" expenses column. Under this program, we do it all and manage the cost.
